NORTHERN CAPE GRAND TEMPLE
The Northern Cape Grand Temple was established on the 27th of December 1981, at Postmasburg. The officiating Right Worthy Templar’s Representative was the Right Worthy Counsellor, Brother Rev Samuel A Ngwenya. He represented Sister J.M. Maurice.
The Right Worthy Counsellor was accompanied by the Right Worthy Secretary, Bro N G Ramasia and the Right Worthy Treasurer, Bro Sam T Kolisang. The occasion was of high standard in terms of Christian fellowship and temperance movement.
Seventeen Sub-Temples formed this Grand Temple. Although it was nor stated where the 17 Sub-Temples originated, like many others, it can be assumed that they were or could have been those of the disgruntled one because they were never cared for. Nevertheless, inspired by the Aim and Objections of the Order of True Templars and spurred by their vows coupled with that deep sense of belonging to the Order, they grouped themselves and made a formal application to the Right Worthy Templar that they be recognised, accepted and be counted in the Fold of the I.O.T.T.
The area of operation covers Kimberlery, Mafeking, Postmasburg, Warrenton, Pampiestad and other surrounding places.

In 1982, the year after the establishment of this Grand Temple, Mafeking Templars led by Bro Fletcher Mongqobe, a Past Grand True Templar and Bro Hamilton Sidzumo, a Grand True Counsellor, came to join this Grand Temple, that addition strengthened and solidified the Grand House in terms of fellowship.
During the course of the years, the Grand Temple hosted three major meetings of the Right Worthy Temple with great success.
A new desk in the Secretariat called the Grand True Strategy and Communications had a first Secretary, Sister KE Bojosi.
VISITATION BY THE RIGHT WORTHY SECRETARY
In June 6 to 8 of 2014, Bro Rev AM Ntlemeza visited the Grand Temple with the purpose to run a Seminar, which was held in Pabalelo Primary School in Postmasburg.
The over-all attendance was very satisfactory. The RWS drilled the officers in the running of the Order at the 3 levels of the Temples, emphasizing in Reviving, Revitalizing leadership and management of the whole Work in the Order. Communication, revisiting the Aims and Objections and the importance of these were also given a prominent part.
The Seminar was regarded as the most important event that occurred in the life and existence of the Grand House.
The Grand True Executive and the whole Grand House desires to take the Grand Temple to the higher Heights of the Independent Order of True Templars
